# 1ClickWebsite Skill

Version: 3.0.0
Last updated: October 4, 2026

Use the 1ClickWebsite MCP server for everything: creating sites, Lead Gen batches, and editing finished V2 sites. If its tools (`list_sites`, `create_site`, `site_guide`…) are already available, skip to the rules.

## Connect

- URL: `https://www.1clickwebsite.ai/api/mcp` (Streamable HTTP)
- Header: `Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY`, using an account key from `https://www.1clickwebsite.ai/api-keys`

Claude Code:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http 1clickwebsite https://www.1clickwebsite.ai/api/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
```

Setup for Cursor, Codex and other agents: `https://www.1clickwebsite.ai/docs/mcp`

## Rules

- Treat the API key as a password. Never print it, commit it, or put it in a public file.
- Before `create_site` or `create_lead_gen_batch`, call `check_credits` and confirm the details and the cost with the user. A site uses one site credit. A Lead Gen batch uses one Lead Gen credit per business, with a minimum of 5.
- A site takes several minutes to build. Check `site_status` and give the user the link when it is ready. If a create call fails or times out, check `list_sites` or `list_lead_gen_batches` before trying again, so you don't pay twice.
- Before editing a site, call `site_guide` for it and follow its rules. Use `find_site_text` to find where something is written instead of reading everything.
- Edits go live right away. Keep each write's `changeSetId`; `rollback_change_set` undoes that write. Ask before deleting, unpublishing, or redesigning.

## Without MCP

If the tool can't connect to MCP servers (for example Zapier, n8n, or a script), or uses a white-label agency key (`1cw_agency_...`), use the REST API instead: `https://www.1clickwebsite.ai/docs/api`. The same account key works for site creation and Lead Gen. Site editing over REST goes through each site's WordPress API with that site's application password.
